HT Tower, located at Queen's Road
Central (the former site of Queen's
LTheatre) is a 28-storey contemporary
office building with shopping mall on the
lower floors. The building comprises 21
floors of office, two levels of mechanical
floor, a three-level podium for retail shops,
two dining floors and a basement.
Designed by Rocco Design Architects
Limited, the project has a total GFA of
approximately 16,600 sq m. The building
design focuses on a highly dramatized
folding facade system as the main feature on
the elongated side of the building that wraps
the podium and the tower portion in a formal
continuum. The result is a dynamic and
engaging interface with public movement
along Theatre Lane, as well as a subtle and
conceptualized reference to the theatrical
history of the site.
Developed by The Luk Hoi Tong
Company Limited, construction of the project
was completed at the end of 2011.
