COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT
Global Trade Square
Wong Chuk Hang, Hong Kong
lobal Trade Square is located at
21 Wong Chuk Hang Road, Wong
GChuk Hang, Hong Kong. The
building consists of 25 storeys of office
floors, and a shop at ground floor in a
total GFA of approximately 20,000 square
meters, with 4 storeys of car parking spaces
offering adequate parking facilities for the
users. Being situated on the main road of
Wong Chuk Hang district and capitalizing
on the forthcoming MTR South Island
Line station, the development enjoys the
strategic location with convenient transport
link in the redevelopment blueprint of the
Wong Chuk Hang district.
To capitalize on the positional advantage
of the site, the building is designed in
a distinctive architectural form inspired
by the shape of Rubiks Cube to create a
dynamic and vital icon in the district. As
this project is one of the first redevelopment
projects in the old Wong Chuk Hang
industrial district, the architects effort on
the architectural aesthetic is expected to
pioneer the emphasis on building image in
this district.
In addition to the avant-garde
architectural design, the development also
places emphasis on the high efficiency and
spatial quality of the office space, with
many units enjoying the pristine views
of Sham Wan and Aberdeen Channel.
The Rubiks Cube concept also allows
additional flat roof spaces for various office
units which is a value-added feature for the
users.
As high environmental performance is
one of the main goals of the development,
the Project had been registered for
application for a BEAM Plus certificate,
and a provisional Gold rating has been
attained. Different features are introduced
for energy saving and better environmental
quality. For example, full-height vertical
green walls occupying portions of the
podium are installed on the main facade
facing the heavy traffic along Wong Chuk
Hang Road and Yip Kan Street, which apart
from enhancing the streetscape in the old
