The Macau SAR Government has released preliminary plans for the “Macau International Integrated Tourism and Cultural District,” a landmark initiative aimed at diversifying the city’s economy and elevating its cultural infrastructure.
Designed to become a world-class cultural destination, the district will feature three major venues with a combined gross floor area exceeding 210,000 square meters. Estimated construction costs are projected to surpass MOP 10 billion (US$1.25 billion), with a phased buildout expected over 5 to 7 years.
