Canton Tower, with an overall height of 610 metres, is currently the tallest structure under construction in the world. Located on the southern bank of the Pearl River in Guangzhou, the tower is comprised of a 454-metre main tower and a 56-metre mast on the top which is the antenna for TV broadcasting.
     The tower is divided into different zones which provides conference, exhibition, tourism, dining and entertainment facilities.
     Upon completion in 2010, Canton Tower will provide broadcasting service for the Asian Games to be held in city. Designed by ARUP, it is expected that the tower will become one of the most outstanding landmarks of Guangzhou.
