The Town Planning Board announced amendments to the approved Tuen Mun Outline Zoning Plan.
     They mainly involve the rezoning of sites to the west of the Tuen Mun West Rail Station from "Industrial" to "Comprehensive Development Area (1)" and "Comprehensive Development Area (2)" zones for residential and commercial use.
     A site on Wu On Street and two on So Kwun Wat Road have been rezoned from "Government, Institution or Community" to "Residential (Group A)" and "Residential (Group B)" to provide land to meet housing demand.
     A site at the southeast junction of Castle Peak Road and Hoi Wing Road has been rezoned from "Green Belt" to "Government, Institution or Community" to optimise the use of the site, which is currently a temporary works area.
