The Land Registry recorded 5,425 sale and purchase agreements for all building units in February, up 20.8% on January but down 56.3% year on year.
     The total consideration for sale and purchase agreements in February was $27 billion, down 3% on January and down 51% year on year.
     Of the agreements, 3,884 were for residential units, up 10.7% on January but down 62.6% year on year.
     Total consideration for sale and purchase agreements in respect of residential units was $19 billion, down 14.2% on January and 58.3% year on year.
     There were 402,604 land-register searches in February, up 43.4% on January and up 0.6% year on year.
