Queen Mary and Kwong Wah Hospitals will be redeveloped

The HKSAR Government recently announced that Queen Mary and Kwong Wah Hospitals will be redeveloped in the coming year to provide better health services.
    
Recurrent expenditure for medical services for the coming year will rise 8% to nearly $45 billion, with total expenditure in 2012-13 exceeding $59 billion. The amount of recurrent funding allocated to the Hospital Authority will increase by nearly 40% to $40 billion in 2012-13.
