August 28, 2010 Galaxy Cotai scheduled to open early next year Galaxy¡¯s Cotai property will cover 550,000 sq m and the development will comprise three hotels, a 4,000 sq m ¡®sky wave pool¡¯, probably the world¡¯s largest that will include a 150-metre white-sand rooftop beach, 50 food outlets, and approximately 35,000 sq m of retail space.
The casino space will take up 39,000 sq m, including more than 600 table games and 1,500 slot machines, with the main gaming hall to feature five ¡®themed¡¯ casino areas.
"Galaxy Macau is on track to open in early 2011 despite facing some setbacks staffing the massive construction site in Cotai," Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) Vice President Francis Lui Yiu Tung said.
