Clearwater Bay hospital to commence construction
In order to meet the requirement of the Town Planning Board, the Clearwater Bay hospital will have 235 beds instead of approximately 300 beds in the original planning.
A new road will be built with direct access to the hospital to minimize disturbance to residents in the neighbour. A development plan has been submitted and approved with a 1.5 plot ratio. In order to preserve the surrounding landscape, the site coverage will not exceed 30% of the total land area. The hospital will comprise 2 building blocks of 7-storey and 4-storey respectively.
The project is expected to commence construction in the fourth quarter of 2011 and completion is scheduled in 2014 at the cost of over HK$1 billion.
