Wanda Hotels & Resorts announced recently the official opening of their new Wanda Reign hotel in Chengdu. Wanda Reign is the group's premium brand of luxury hotels, and the Chengdu property is its second hotel, after Wanda Reign Wuhan, to be under this brand, as well as the brand’s first location in China’s southwest region.
     Wanda Reign Chengdu is located in the city's business district, where South Renmin Road meets the Jinjiang River. The hotel's Sky Lobby is located on the 41/Floor and enjoys a bird's eye view of the city as well as of the city's landmarks, Tianfu Square in the north and the Jinjiang River in the south.
     Designed with an intriguing "New Chinese Art Deco" theme, the hotel incorporates local Shu themes, such as the Chinese hibiscus, Sichuan-style trellis patterns, tassels and lanterns, into classic Art Deco, showcasing the hotel's oriental heritage through its intricate details. Elements of Chinese culture are woven through this classically elegant setting for a sense of place to elicit an experience that is immersed in the distinct charm of the Tianfu district.
     The hotel comprises 240 elegant rooms and suites, offering guests an experience of utmost comfort with state-of-the-art modern facilities and chic Eastern interiors. The exquisite Presidential Suite invites the most elite guests into a spacious 330 square meters of sheer luxury, styled with masterfully handcrafted furnishings and fine art, accented by glazed porcelain, metallic sculptures and a magnificent hibiscus painting detailed in gold leaf.
