2015 Bi-city Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture
The Hong Kong edition of the 2015 Bi-city Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture welcomes all Hong Kongers to explore their vision of the city. Taking place from December to February in Kowloon Park and Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre, the Biennale is a curated showcase of inspirational works by international and local creatives including architects, planners and designers.  The Biennale engages in a three month cultural dialogue with Hong Kong.
As platforms for discussion and contemplation, Biennales around the world have become significant cultural drivers in promoting awareness around the importance of understanding a city and facilitating a diverse platform for the exchange of knowledge, information, expertise and ideas.
Looking back and to the future 35 years in Hong Kong, the rich and varied culture of our past is an important legacy and cornerstone that younger generations can build upon in growing the identity of the city. This year's theme of 'VISIONS 2050: Lifestyle & The City' focuses on the future of Hong Kong and the intrinsic relationship between how we conduct our daily life and the physical environment around us. The vision of the younger generation is the key for creating the city of the future. Hong Kong's 2015 Biennale also offers ways to achieve a more balanced relationship with nature, through design and technology.
Led by The Hong Kong Institute of Architects Biennale Foundation, and co-organized with the Hong Kong Institute of Architects, Hong Kong Institute of Planners and Hong Kong Designers Association, the 2015 Biennale brings together the creative industries with the wider public.
