Landfill exhaustion is a very critical issue Hong Kong is facing and waste is becoming more costly to our city, in terms of its treatment, disposal, and impact on the environment as well as missed business opportunities. High on Hong Kong's sustainability agenda is the formulation and implementation of a long-term strategy to manage our waste. This calls for clear policies, strong public-private partnerships and participation of the community. In this Conference, BEC is lining up a strong panel of experts and practitioners to share best practices and their insights on the policy framework, technologies, partnerships and practical steps that will help Hong Kong move forward to tackle this critical challenge.
