CEDD invites tenders for two infrastructure projects

The Civil Engineering & Development Department (CEDD) is inviting tenders for the contract for Kai Tak Development - Stage 3A infrastructure at the former north apron area. The tender invitation was gazetted on March 1 and the deadline is noon on April 12.
     The works include construction of new roads, a vehicular underpass, a pedestrian subway, extension of an existing pedestrian subway and modification of roads in the ramp areas of the former Kai Tak Airport, and in the adjoining San Po Kong area. Other works include footpaths, drainage, sewerage, water mains, landscaping, electrical and mechanical works, and environmental mitigation measures. The works will start in July this year for completion in June 2016.
     The department has commissioned Ove Arup & Partners to design and supervise the works. Tender submissions should be placed in the tender box at G/F, East Wing, Central Government Offices, 2 Tim Mei Avenue, Tamar.
    
CEDD also invited tenders for infrastructure works at housing sites adjacent to Lung Ping Road, Tai Wo Ping. The works are scheduled to commence in June and will take about 36 months to complete.
     The works include construction of a single two-lane road and two single-lane roads, geotechnical works including slope stabilisation works, checking dams and retaining walls, and ancillary works including associated footpaths, vehicle ingress and egress points, drainage, sewerage, water mains and landscaping works.
    
The department has commissioned Mott MacDonald Hong Kong Limited to design and supervise the construction works. Call 2828 5816 for enquiries. The invitation to tender was gazetted on February 22. Tender submissions should be placed in the Government Secretariat tender box at G/F, East Wing, Central Government Offices, Tamar by noon on April 5.
