Leighton Asia confirmed that Bob Cooke has been promoted to Acting Head of Leighton - Asia, India & Offshore following the appointment of Hamish Tyrwhitt as Chief Executive Officer of Leighton Holdings.
     Bob joined Leighton Asia in June 2007 as Commercial Director and has been in the industry for more than 30 years. He has worked in the UK, South Africa, Australia and Asia both in commercial and general management roles. Across these geographical areas, Bob has been involved in major building, civil engineering, rail, marine and mining work.
     "Leighton - Asia, India & Offshore is like a well-built ship on calm waters. It is heading in a positive and steady direction with current revenue of US$3 billion per annum. It is supported by a robust order book of US$8 billion with solid and exciting projects, underpinned by a strong culture, embedded values and a stable organisational structure of over 13,000 employees. I am honoured to be given the responsibility of leading Leighton - Asia, India & Offshore," Bob said.
