BuildMart Philippines Opens ASEAN Market for Chinese Companies
Global Sources Creation (Asia) Appointed as BuildMart Philippines' Authorized Representative in Hong Kong SAR

Hong Kong, July 2026 – Global Sources Creation (Asia) Limited, represented by its Senior Consultant Mr Derek Quan, has been officially appointed as the Authorized Representative of BuildMart Philippines in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
Under this appointment, Global Sources Creation (Asia) Limited will be responsible for the promotion, recruitment, organization, and coordination of BuildMart Philippines Business Delegations, with the first delegation tentatively scheduled for September 2026. The programme is designed as a long-term initiative and will be organized on a regular basis.

Bruce Shum, a Hong Kong-based Registered Architect and Director of BuildMart Philippines, has more than 20 years of experience leading complex commercial, retail, and hospitality developments across Asia and international markets. Throughout his career, he has managed multidisciplinary design teams for some of the region's leading developers, specialising in delivering high-quality architectural projects and value-enhancement strategies.
In addition to his architectural practice, Bruce provides professional guidance on building compliance and regulatory requirements for BuildMart Philippines. His compliance strategies help international manufacturers—particularly companies from Mainland China—successfully navigate local regulatory frameworks and accelerate their entry into the expanding ASEAN marketplace.

Eric Yung, also a Director of BuildMart Philippines, is a highly experienced construction engineering professional with more than 30 years of involvement in landmark urban development projects across Hong Kong and major cities in Mainland China.
Having established extensive business relationships with Philippine partners since the 1980s, Eric possesses deep expertise in architectural façades, curtain wall engineering, and green infrastructure consultancy. Based in Manila, he currently leads the strategic expansion of the BuildMart Philippines online platform. Under his leadership, the organization is actively developing a technology-driven professional services platform designed to serve the architecture, engineering, construction, and design industries throughout the ASEAN region.
