The 26th edition of DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR
Scheduled to take place in Shanghai from 28th to 30th of May 2024, will bring to the audience the latest of the flooring industry in Asia and beyond

DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR is a not-to-be missed event if you are in the flooring business and plan to access Asia’s thriving flooring markets. The 2023 edition, held in July, marked a successful return of the event at the international scene, after the 3-year halt due to China’s closed borders during the pandemic period. The show registered an historical visitation record, welcoming 83,594 visitors from over 110 countries and reconfirming the event’s leading position in Asia Pacific. In particular, Australia ranked 5th based on the total number of professionals who visited the event. The high presence of the international participants, both as exhibitors and visitors, reconfirmed that China remains an important hub for the international trade in the flooring industry and the confidence in the region has returned. China continuous to present enormous opportunities for the rest of the world as a manufacturing powerhouse and a big consumption market, while other nearby Southeast Asian markets grow at fast speed as well.

In 2024, the show is expected to grow even further, hosting more than 1,600 exhibitors and brands in an overall exhibiting space of 230,000 sqm, spread throughout 8 halls at the Shanghai National Exhibitions and Convention Centre (NECC). Under the theme “More than Flooring”, DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR 2024 will return to cover the flooring world at 360 degrees, from raw materials to technologies and to finished floorcoverings products, both textile and hard flooring of any type. At the same time, complementary products, such as ceiling, wall materials, door cabinets and more, will also be present, to reflect the transformation of products from a single plan to a multi-dimensional concept of space fitting. Co-located with other related and complementary events and activities, under the roof of “Build Asia Mega Show”, the show will be part of a vibrant ecosystem, representing the diverse facets of the construction, building materials and interior design industries, in a platform which fosters the cross-industry communication and multi-channel integration.

A FOCUS ON THE INTERNATIONAL BUYERS
As China has fully returned to the international trade scene, the international flooring community is showing a continuous and impressive loyalty and trust to the show, with more than 14,000 international visitors attending the event in July 2023. The event organizer is putting an emphasis on the hosted buyer programs, to ensure the platform is helping at its best the regaining of trade relations in the flooring industry between China, Asia and the world. Various buyer delegations for each main sector segment will be hosted in 2024, which will allow participants to engage in different activities, such as personalized guided tours, one to one matchmaking and networking events.
